INDIA
Yes, it’s true...India is a land full of free roaming, street blocking and stubborn, arrogant cows. Livestock aside, India is also home to a diverse range of cultures, smells, people and adventures. From the Tibetan and Muslim regions in the North, to the proud Tamils in the South, travelling through the Indian sub-continent it is easy to forget that amidst this huge range of diversity lies one strong, unwavering Indian identity.
The food and customs vary greatly over the regions and India is a gastronomic adventure, whether it’s the amazing culinary flavours or the obligatory case of ‘Delhi Belly’. The huge density of people combined with close living proximity presents an amazingly different experience to that of those from less populated countries.
The level of English in India is astounding and the demand even more so. The ESOL market is huge; on the streets people will stop you for an impromptu chance to practise their English. The English language is highly valued; for many it represents an advantage in the incredibly competitive job market.
The people are warm and friendly and always prepared to discuss, debate and dissect local issues, international politics and of course the results of the most recent Test Cricket Match.
For an amazing, challenging yet thoroughly rewarding adventure, check out India and all it has to offer.
